When taking the Civic off the trailer after my last Wakefield day the brakes were squealing and making all sorts of weird noises.. Upon checking the brakes the following day, I found the cause.. I was happily jumping on the brakes at the 50m marker on the back straight with the pads like this, suprised they still held up to this!
So with that I went ahead and ordered some more Intima SR pads from Intima as I'm returning to Wakefield on the 26th August in a few weeks time, best get these sorted asap, thanks Phil for the quick hookup! We chatted about maybe moving me up to the Intima Type D-V2 for my next set of pads, maybe I'll do it also when I put my SiR knuckles into the car.
Two weeks later I decided it was time to remove my sound system. I've always liked having it in, however as I no longer drive the car on the road (it's still street registered) I didn't see the point in keeping it in, also as it can be used in one of my other cars that I do drive on the street. I will also be removing my heater core as since doing the B swap 4 years ago, I never actually got around (I'm quite lazy) to installing the metal wires to control the heater from the hand dials, and as our fellow ClubITR forum member Rhys has confirmed the anti-fog application actually works, so I'll be opting for that!
Still a bit iffy about removing even the head unit as I always liked having something in the center console but we shall see how I feel with some block off plates in there.
Thought I'd check how much she all weighs, not bad at all!
Two weeks after that I took the Civic for another wheel alignment before returning to Wakefield. Reason for another alignment is as mentioned in the last post, I spun off a few times last day trying to figure why the rear was so loosey goosey.. Also with raising the front to help that issue also contributed with the alignment being out.
Upon seeing the initial alignment specs today I thought to myself damn I did 1.10.2 on that, if I don't get 1.09's tomorrow someone needs to slap me. I'll include a before and after photo of the specs below, I'm trying a "new" setup based off Honed Development recommended specs, main difference is having zero toe in the front, and +1mm individual toe out in the rear.
Car is loaded on the trailer, my father usually tows it down for me as mentioned before but as he started his new job this week he can't have any days off, so first time I'll be towing the car should be good fun.
