Since buying the car I had always dreamt of one day doing a B series motor swap. The carbies are fun, love the pops but I'd also love some power, especially with the future track adventures.
The motor of choice will be a B18C or B18C7, the C being also known as a CR, the Japanese spec Integra DC2 Type R motor, where as the C7 is the overseas Type R motor, which we receeived here in Australia.
I've started piecing together some parts for the swap:
The loom is probably the most daunting part of the swap as many whom have done it will know. Theres a lot of options, but when getting the rear T bracket from someone local wrecking one, we were having a good chat and decided I'd come and strip the entire loom from the DA9 as well. With it already being OBD1 was perfect for the B18C and also to run a ECU with a Hondata S300 chip.
The loom was really annoying to remove for a first timer, but re-writing this in 2023 I've done quite a few now and remember where everything goes, kinda scary..
