Time to reinstall all of the suspension now that all the modifications have been made for the new Honed Development components, and the various bits have been cleaned and painted. Before doing so I decided to give the under carriage a pressure clean to get rid of the final bits of Winton. I can imagine on top of the fuel tank there's still a fair bit of mud, that'll have to wait for another day.

Been a few weeks since cleaning the under carriage as per above, that's because I actually did my back the day after.. I bent over in the morning to move a cat toy from the doorway and felt a sharp pain across my lower back, resulting in me face planting into the ground. I laid there for 10 minutes upon to move, eventually crawling to the bed and dragging myself into bed where I laid stuck again.
Eventually managed to get up, walking around the house holding myself up on the wall. Partner took me to the chiro that night and he sorted me out. I was still in a lot of pain for the following week, as soon as I sat down I'd stiffen up. This was annoying because I was already on a tight but planned schedule to get the car ready for the upcoming Morgan Park trip with the MWSCC boys to QLD.
~ Excuses done
Once I was finally able to move again 2-3 weeks after I started reinstalling everything, I did the rear first which took 1 whole day due to the back pains and struggling to get up and down, but atleast when I came to the front I was a lot more flexible. Now as of the 26th July we can look at all 4 corners with all their goodies installed!
During this time I cleaned up the steering rack which was out of the car, and found the block off plate I made from thick steel years ago had actually snapped. Surprised it was still held in by the bolt.
I never liked that bracket anyways, always felt too thick (I learn in the near future that was probably a good thing). So I decided to make a new one out of 1mm steel sheet metal. Quick job, didn't line the pin correctly the first time round drilling it's hole so had to enlarged it a smidge.
Once installed, I didn't think about the circular side lifting up from tightening the opposite side, due to it being such thin sheet. For now theres nothing I can really do as I don't have time to make another, so I ran so JB weld around the edge to seal it.
Installed the Aluminimum steering rack bushes & lock reducing rack spacer onto the rack whilst bolting it into the subframe. Should feel a bit stiffer now through the steering!
Now time to install the suspension!

With the suspension back in the car, it was time to fit the brakes. I pulled apart all the calipers to give them a scrub down and relube the sliders.
The Intima RS pads had quite the beating down at Winton at the end of last year, definitely using most of the material.
Intima have now released their 'RR' Pure Circuit Performance pad. Speaking with the owner Phil, these were designed based off some flaws of the RS pad. People wanted more bite, better heat performance and to last longer. The reviews on test across various cars has lead to confirm they've achieved this, with great responses from everyone. So I'm really excited to try them especially with the booster delete kit.
I thought it'll be great to install the HEL braided brake lines I bought back in 2019... lol. I bought them from JDMYard after speaking with Yonas and him shocked I still ran the OEM rubber lines. At the time I went to install them the week before Honda Nationals but we couldn't undo the hard line fittings due to the coilover canisters being in the way. And then queue the other excuses of me just being lazy.
Anyways.. I've installed them now, using P clamps to secure them to the coilover body. They come with OEM type tab brackets on them which kinda work, so they've been bolted in there too.
The kit came with it's own bolt for the caliper. It is shorter as per the 2nd photo below, but the shanked bit with the fluid hole was in a different position to the OEM bolt so I went with the HEL bolt.
