Before anything gets scrubbed down to prep for paint I need to smash in the chassis leg to fit the B series alternator, a standard practice when doing a B swap into an ED. Not sure if it's enough, can anyone confirm? Might have gotten a little carried away haha..

Next I started on sanding down the engine bay with various grit levels to prep it for primer and paint. I started on the T bracket piece, which I also cut off the lower supporting piece from it as I didn't want it showing in front of the alloy radiator:
Started with 400, then 600 and followed by 1200 for the engine bay. Used a wet and dry sand paper:

With all the sanding done, its time for some primer! I didn't take any photos but I did attempt to fill in a few holes around the strut tower with bog, in the long run this was silly as it eventually just cracked.
I did a total of 3 coats, which was done last night on a rather cold night cause yolo, but it dried rather quickly (somehow) and turned out pretty good!
First photo is 2 coats in, the second photo is the final product the following morning!
A few weeks later (4/5/2016) I went ahead and applied the colour. I went with the same white as the car, I personally prefer a matching enginebay. Ended up doing 3 coats of white, 3 coats of clear and then a good polish!
A few days after the paint, I think shes ready for her new heart!
