Since having all the new parts on the car painted white, the black door handles and mirrors had been annoying me, so my painter luckily can paint mobile too from his van, so he came around to do the door handles of the car as they are annoying to remove.
Now I don't have photos of it, but I did recently buy some EK side skirts from the original car I got the suspension from. They fit the ED hatch perfectly, so my painter helped me fit them with some sort of glue. Running the EK side skirts did mean I'd have to remove the front mud flaps which is fine.
On the Sunday 17/1/2015 I attended some car meet at Sydney Motorsport Park. I can't remember what it was for, but I was able to park alongside Brent in his gorgeous ED sedan, hosting a EFI D15B motorswap and on airbags, absolutely gorgeous!
This was the first outting for the Civic with the new side skirts, you can see how well they work with the lower profile of the front lip.
From here I then drove to Silverwater for a Trial Error car meet. Rewriting this in 2023 I have no idea what they were, I guess some social media group like many were created back then. I was happy to just go to anything to show off the car, meet new people and look at cool cars!
Really like the angle of the Civic in this photo!
To finish this off, a week later my 3 piece brace kit from America arrived, consisting of a front & rear strut brace, and a C pillar brace. Unfortunately, the front strut brace doesn't fit due to the carbys being in the way, as it's designed for a EFI ED/EF.
It's a bit flexy, I wasn't expecting it to be amazing but I could feel the overall car feel a bit more stiffer, and there's less creeking.
And some photos from a random car meet I went to the week after that on the 26/2/2015, can't be bothered to create another post just for it.
Now heres something juicy, only as of late after switch around some of the Equips I noticed 2 of them sat differently on the car, like 1 of the +29s poked out more than the other by a huge amount. You can see in the 2nd photo HOW MUCH it sits in.
After some investigation with Kevin it became apparent that the +29's & +32's faces were on mismatched barrels, throwing everything completely off. We took the wheels to Kevins work, released the air from the tyres, and swapped around the faces to match the barrels. I'm so amazed it had been like this without me realising, it's because they were on opposite corners somehow, again no idea how I didn't realise. This must have been done in Japan before they were brought over to Pat.
Anyways, they are now corrected.
Annnd a random pic from driving out one night by myself.
